This is kid is learning like crazy

He has been sitting up on his own if you help him get that way first for about 2 weeks now, but this morning he decided that he was going to sit up without assistance, he grabbed the end of his jammies and pulled himself right up and just smiles. He gets to proud of himself when he does something new. He is just exploring his new found balance all the time now. Still the kid won't roll over though!! Well he has done it once but will not repeat these actions to spite me.

Next on our achievement checklist: the sippy cup!!!

Today I was babysitting a friend's little girl, who is about 15 or 16 months. During lunch she was using a sippy cup for her juice and Jack was just chilling in his swing next to the table, watching her. Out of nowhere he gets so upset and nothing will calm him down. He would look at her and scream and then look at me and scream...finally I decided to give him a cup with a tiny bit of water in it. He was all over it! I think that being around older babies a bunch has made him want to be that way already. We have KinderMusik and a playgroup every week, not to mention when we have Finley over and he just happens to be the youngest kid in all these situations. He will just sit and watch all the other babies play and laugh at them, but he is obviously paying attention. I'm pretty impressed with him, he isn't even 5 months yet! Oh yeah, and Kristen totally heard me tell him "hush" when he was fussing and he completely was quiet after that! Genius, right sis?!

This is the fun new way to help mommy with her chores...He looks a little scared but I promise it was just because of the flash, he giggles the whole time he is bouncing in that basket.
