Fun Day!!

Since the weather was so nice today we spent the day in Mammoth Springs with some friends today. Where we were greeted by a friendly honking goose, that scared all the kids with the exception of Jack. He gave his normal "What the crap mom?!" facial expression. Really I think it scared Finley (who is almost 2) because it lunged at her and was taller than her. You can't see her in these pictures because she was hiding in the car.

After the trauma of the goose incident we started to walk around the spring hoping to find the hidden cache. It should be noted that we went in the complete wrong direction as guided by the men in the group. We did spot some pretty cool otters along the way though. Jack was fascinated by this weird little thing splashing in the water. Georgia thought it was so cute to see it eat and "clean" its food in the water first.

The museum was not very enthralling so we skipped it and went to the playground instead. Super fun! Jack experienced the teeter totter for the first time and LOVED it. I am also the champion of the balance competition. That does not say very much for my competitors does it...

After playing for a while we went of in search of the still hidden geocache, again being led in the wrong direction by the men. After much debate between Sam and Alex about which way the thing could possibly be, Tressa and I gave them the kids, took the GPS devices and went trekking through the woods to find the blasted thing. Guess what! We were right!! On the way however we spotted gross blood stained animals bones, a dead mouse that was completely flattened and a dead otter. We were fearful for our lives at that point so headed back to find our families. The men never saw this cache....

After the Springs we crossed the state line to hit up the scandalous Dairy Queen and then ventured back to Hardy to visit the historic downtown district. Which was neat for me because I remember going there when we were kids with Grandma and I got to take my son. dorky I know, but I don't think I will get to take him to a lot of places that I remember from childhood.

When we got home, we were so excited to have a giant package on our front porch. It was full of diapers and wipes that are now going to be delivered to my doorstep upon demand. Great stuff right? Jack was impressed with the big box that it came in, it's really the first box he has ever cared to play with.

Also this week: Jack beat up Sam, touched his first fish and flirted with pretty girls at play group(which we actually hosted for the first time! crazy!). Unfortunately I did not get a picture of the fish, it was priceless.

Can you see his teeth?

Just some other random cute pictures:

Piper was looking at this post with me just now, and at the end she asked "who are all of those babies?" Which I found amusing...
I miss my cute baby. Glad he's having so much fun all the time.
