Today we got smothered in sunscreen and headed into the backyard for some crazy adventures. Well really just to do some yard work. Sam and I decided to try and get a good start on the whole grass situation today and thought it would be fun to lay a quilt out for Jack to play on. This worked for probably 5-10 minutes, until Jack looked around and realized his newest fascination was ALL around him. That's right, he has discovered the wonder that is dirt and dried up weeds. After that I would have to run back and forth between him and my project, getting nothing done. I did that until he actually started to roll down the slight incline that he was on, not to worry though Jack thought this was hilarious. I decided that he just needed to get it out of his system and we set out playing in the dirt and whatever else we could find. He actually did pretty good about not putting things in his mouth, which surprised me because he is really into finger foods right now. So we ended up up playing all the while Sam worked his booty off. I did reward him with a picnic though! Another fun day!!
