Flyfishing, Italian, and Hayti
Today was a real adventurous day. After going to a fly tying instruction with my father in law, i had the need to peruse fishing equipment and prepare for the up coming year. I also thought getting food at Olive Garden just down the road from the Bass Pro Shops in Memphis would be excellent. Katie agreed. After a quick bite at San Fran Bread (where i had the best tomato soup of my life) we headed to memphis. We watched he fish in the shop, i found a new flyrod to replace the one that snapped last year, and we continued to Olive garden. I got the Tour of Italy (substituted chicken parmesan for eggplant pamesan), the eggplant and lasagna was fabulous. Katie got ravioli that was delicious apparently too. We didnt eat much as we filled on salad and bread sticks....hello dinner! The plan after this was to come home take care of Bailey and go see Juno. But in came the side track. On our way home i talked on the cell the folks and a friend called. Katie read in her book and the next thing i know: "shouldnt we be in jonesboro by now?" The next sign says "Caruthersville" straight ahead. My initial response was that the road we should be on shouldnt have a caruthersville sign on it, atleast i didntremember one. Next we find ourselves in Hayti. Where is Hayti? Missouri. Yes we had driven off course, forgot to make the most important turn home. We obvious made it home by a few familiar signs and 50 minutes out of our way. So much for the movie. Another Day, but hey, We got to see Kennett Missouri, came home with pasta, and a fly rod.

That was a wonderful story, except for the bit about how you committed sacrilege by going to Olive Garden(yech) when you had the chance to go to Macaroni Grill (yumm). Otherwise: A+
